I agree Jillie! Enduring winter is one of those things that must bring from the depth of our soul the will to look beyond what is. It’s like a faith and hope work-out! Toughens us up, right?

I am so grateful that “God sent His Son” into my life some 34 years ago now, saving me from a life of slow self-destruction and hopelessness! Alleluia! He is the Bridge we cross over to meet God Himself. He’s “kept” my road pretty straight-forward, but occasionally I’m the one who has veered off-course. He is forever faithful to forgive and re-engage.
I like what you said about the Christmas Season being a “light” in these darkening days of winter. It surely is. All the hoopla and festivities! It’s AFTER Christmas, however, when winter drags so many people down. Not because He is no longer here with us, Emmanuel, but just because there’s so little natural light. 🙁
