1. Something else we have in common. I sing on our church’s worship team too. There are two teams and we sing every other week. I finally feel like I am doing God’s will with no doubts.
I love how you termed us as “ushers.” Looking forward to the day when all strife is done.

      Yes! Ushers. πŸ™‚

Judah means ‘praise’ and the tribe of Judah often led out the procession with praise. I think praising God just lifts us a little off of this dusty earth.

Dear Kathy….Oh, how I needed to read these words today! Since just after Christmas, I have found myself in a war of words, via emails, with my only sister. A sister who is so troubled and broken. Self-exiled from our dysfunctional family for over 25 years. Yesterday, I called a halt to it, but not before losing my patience, and questioning her, complete with large doses of sarcasm, about the many wild accusations she throws out. Accusations of abuse and neglect and all manner of heinous crime committed against her; things I simply do not remember happening. I am battle-weary. This is not the first time this has happened, but it is the first time I’ve lost hope that she will ever be healed and whole in her mind and heart.
How wonderful to linger on your words of freedom, one fine day, in the glorious by-and-by, when all battles of mind and heart will cease. And we shall be in the Presence of The King. The Prince of Peace…And Hope…And unending Joy. I’m hanging on to these promises, albeit by the very tips of my fingers today. Thank you, Kathy.

Jillie, So thankful you were encouraged and so sorry for the challenge you are facing. I said a prayer for you and your sister. So hard when there are divisions, and especially in families. I’m convinced the devil has greater access to deceive people these days as the boundaries seem to have broadened for him.

Please don’t give up hope as long as she has breath, but don’t think it is your responsibility to make her see clearly… pray with your friends that the Lord would loose her from the strongholds, open her eyes, and turn her from darkness to light.

May you feel strengthened and filled with hope. God is able to do immeasurably MORE than we can ask or imagine according to the power at work within you! Ephesians 3:20
